Health Safety and Environment
CEVA Logistics believes that the health and safety of employees is of paramount importance. CEVA Logistics, as TNT Logistics UK, was the first major logistics company to have its entire business accredited to the OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety standard.
The objectives of the Health and Safety Management System are:
- To provide assurance that compliance with legal requirements on health and safety are being met or exceeded and we continue to meet the changing needs of our business.
- To provide evidence that the Health and Safety Management System is documented in such a way as to help those who must undertake its implementation.
- To help identify the training requirements needed to provide appropriately qualified managers/supervisors and staff in order to implement the Health and Safety Management System.
- To provide the means by which we achieve best practice, meet our health and safety targets and improve our overall health and safety performance.
- To provide a reference for the policies and procedures used throughout the business and to assess and audit the standards of health and safety performance being achieved.
CEVA Logistics employs environmental processes throughout its business. In 2004 CEVA Logistics, formerly operating as TNT Logistics, was awarded the Motor Transport Environment Award.
