David Bermingham
David Bermingham is Managing Director, CEVA Newsfast; David joined express, logistics and mail provider TNT in 1993 working for Newsfast. David was instrumental in establishing Newsfast as a successful multi-user operation, building on the core newspaper distribution service.David was appointed to Managing Director in late 2001 and in 2002 integrated the shared-user network of the acquired Taylor Barnard business with TNT Newsfast, creating the UK’s largest multi-user logistics operation, which now has a turnover in excess of £200 million pa, employs 2,300 people, 800+ vehicles and utilises 300,000 sq m of warehouse space across 19 locations nationwide.
Since 1993, CEVA Newsfast has quadrupled in size, establishing itself as the market leader in the provider of logistics services to the publishing industry (newspapers, magazines, books and media products) and a major force in the fmcg sector (ambient grocery and non-food).
Additionally, based on the logistics services provided to TNT Post in the UK, CEVA Newsfast rapidly developing its national van delivery network for b2c parcels.
In 2006 parent company TNT NV sold TNT Logistics to Apollo Management Ltd. TNT Logistics was renamed CEVA Newsfast Logistics and David became Managing Director for CEVA Newsfast.
